AP Examinations
Advanced Placement (AP) examinations are internationally recognized assessments administered by the College Board and offered each May. Depending on the institution, AP results may be considered for university admission, scholarships, and/or post-secondary course credit. In Grade 12, students following the AP stream will write have the option to the AP Calculus BC examination, which is generally considered equivalent to a full year of first-year university-level mathematics.
AP Pre-CalculusBSCIS Students who complete both British Columbia Pre-Calculus 11 and 12 can choose to take the AP Pre-Calculus exam should they wish to do so, but should consult with BSCIS AP Coordinator Mr. Lee first.

AP Calculus BCStudents who enroll in British Columbia Calculus 12 at BSCIS can elect to take the "AP Calculus Examination Option" can elect to take onThis course, in combination with Calculus 12, comprises the majority of the first year of university-level calculus. Students will review and extend their knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and other areas as appropriate in preparation for the optional AP exam in May following graduation. Topics include differentiation, integration, and other calculus topics in theory and as applied to contextual problems.
